The Daphine Cloe version is characterized by its flat base and was designed for ambiences in which the “technical” look of the original base would be excessive.
This flat base, which in the halogen version housed the toroidal transformer, now contains the electronics powering the LED and the articulated arm’s jack connection. The arm can be freely rotated and fully folded.
